FastDomain Web Hosting Help
Wildcard Subdomains or DNS
Summary
FastDomain does support the creation of Wildcard DNS/Subdomains. You are welcome to create these from your cPanel -> Domains -> Subdomains section.
Create a Wildcard Subdomain
To create them follow these steps:
- Login to your FastDomain Control Panel
- Click the Subdomains icon, located in the Domains section.
- In the "Subdomain" name field, enter the "*" character. (Shift + 8)
- Leave the "Document Root" set to default.
- Select "Create".
After this has been done, the record will be added to your domain's DNS entry. You can then lookup any properly formed subdomain and have it resolve. Note: Occasionally a subdomain can take a couple of hours to propagate.
